Emmanouil Tzachas (;, in modern Greek: Άμμανουλ Τζαχάς; 1823 – 16 April 1883) was a Greek lawyer, politician and minister.
He was born in Mesogion, a village of the regional unit of Kastoria, and was the second son of Yannakos Tzachas, mayor of Kastoria. He studied at the Ecclesiastical School of Halkidiki and then at the Royal School of Philosophy of Athens. He studied law in Athens and then practised at the Supreme Court of Ioannina. In the years 1845-1849, he was one of the co-founder of the newspaper I Liopeti tou Ethnikou Graikou, in which he wrote and published his first literary work, some articles and the one that was printed and published in a volume (1847). Later, he was the editor of the Athens newspaper Politis. He was a member of the Hellenic Parliament from 1853 to 1866, and was elected mayor of Kastoria in 1855. He was Minister of Justice and Public Works, and Minister of the Interior from 1866 to 1867. In 1868, he moved to Athens, where he opened a law practice.
